Configuration Console

I am trying to figure out how to 'Copy' a menu so it can be modified in config console. I found where to modify and existing menu and where to modify an existing menu security class - I need make a copy so I don't impact current users using that menu.

Can this be done?

I would recommend you keep the Menu out of the box (i.e. Non-configured) and use a separate Security Role/Class to hide what you don't want the smaller subset of Users to see. We only configure Menu's when the changes are applicable to all of our Users (Example: hiding applications we don't use at all).

I tried that - but the role they need to get to one screen giving them way to much access and I could not figure out how to take all the other menu items away based on the menu security class. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

Here is an example of a custom SecurityClass LPL. We want this group of Users to only have access to selective Menu Items under the "AdminConsoleMenu".

Ok.. so I managed I think to get my menu updated - and I added it to my custom role - but my custom role won't show the menus. Meaning he role does no show in the ming.le role drop list. Is there something special I have to do get get it to show there? I gave the role the security classes and the menu security class. I'm having the hardest time connecting the dots here..

It can definitely be done and Tom has you on the right track! Let me know if you need further help on this. We do a ton of this type of thing.
