BSI Tax Code - state

When we first implemented Lawson 15 years ago, our Lawson consultant created custom BSI tax codes for our FED and States (IL, IA, MO). On the PR06, we map our BSI Tax Code IA to Tax Authority IA, etc. We are needing to set up another state (Wisconsin) and I was going to create a Tax Code WI for it to keep consistent with how our others are set up. I now have 2 Wisconsin state tax codes - the delivered one BSI0055000 and the one that I created WI. Lawson doesn't seem to see my custom one (WI) so I'm thinking I need to delete the default BSI0055000. Does anyone else create custom ones instead of using the delivered default tax code? If so, does it cause any harm to delete the default one?

Deanna - Please confirm that on your PR06 (Tax Authority) you've also established your custom code there as well as tied it to your WI deduction code (PR05) in the Tax Authority field of the Taxes tab. I've seen users (literally dozens if not hundreds of time in the past) use custom codes. They need to be established in the BSI Mapping as well as PR06 and then linked to the ded in PR05. Once you do this you should be a-ok. If you've done all three up to this point and are experiencing a problem then, clearly I'm being redundant and no help at all.
