drill on the gl9/gl95 Lawson Security

I have Company control logic on the gl90 and gl90. But on the company field (gtl-to-company). It still shows all the companies when doing a select or drill. Is there something I am missing.

On all the GL90 screens you need to use is field accesible on each token, or at a file level

Also both GLTRANS and GLNAMES need this rule.

I think it is simpler to just to do it at the File level. You may well be able to see all the Companies, but if you try and access a Company which you cannot access, then you will get a Security Violation.

Good point on TRANS and NAMES, effectively any/each Table across each Application, which require specific Company access.

I do get a security violation but seen to be able to do some 'drilling' anyway. Even after getting the security violation.

Can you secure the company file for the Role of this user? Drill-Arounds are field-based. If you drill-around on company, you will get different results than if you drill around on Acccount Unit. Drill-Arounds and the data they display are specific to files and the security rules written on those files(or their fields). Some form field restrictions will effect your drill-around information, but this is not always the case. I start with form-field rules, then test it, then move into file, and or file-field; rules and test again. Drill-Arounds are defined in a file called "src.or". The .or file is found in your product lines program source folder. Each Titled Category in your Drill-Around(ex. Account Unit Detail) can be, or should be, listed in the .or file and will tell you the associated file. The higher the file in your drill-around tree, the less granular your security rules need to become. But you really need to know what access your Role requires in order to do this.
