PR582 - mass adjustments

Does anyone have a copy of a good spreadsheet used to load PR582 mass adjustments? I've tried everything I can think of and I'm getting an error on the Group-ID field. can someone provide me with their jobdef for the job and a sample of the spreadsheet? I'm trying to make adjustments on multiple deductions for many employees.

I do. The group ID is used to group the employee records together on the PR82. You can start with GroupID 1 for the first employee Groupd ID for the 2nd employee..etc. I use this every year at year end. Finance will create a file for processing. The file needs to be changed to csv and it is important that the correct headings are included. These are the correct headings: <--Infor Community note: these are the correct headings that we use. As long as you use headings, and line up the data appropriately, you can use more or less than what is seen here.

Key points when creating file:

-date format must be mm/dd/yyyy

It is important that the date format is correct. It should be mm/dd/yyyy. This is not available as an Excel default, so use “custom” and enter “mm/dd/yyyy”. Note that entering a date such as 10/1/2020 will be accepted and processed, but the date will be read as 1012020 – Jan 1, 2020. It is critical that the proper date format is set before saving the file as a csv file.

-number format cannot have commas or dollar signs

-remember to remove leading zeroes from job codes, as the leading zeroes do not exist in Infor

-save as csv format from excel

-remove .csv from file name before transferring the file to the server

Header More than one record type 0 found (there are 7 employees with this error)

This means there are more than one set of records for an employee – example here. What needs to happen is a unique Group ID must be used. In my original notes, I recommended adding a 1 to the employee number if there is a second set.

Hi Margo, Was wondering if you ever received (or have) a good sample shell for the PR582 file? I have been trying to get one to process successfully most of the afternoon to no avail. Any examples (or pointers) you might have would be appreciated! Thank you!

We use this regularly - very hands-off for IT - finance prepares the file, drops it to share where IPA picks it up, moves it to the server, and kicks off a non-update PR582.
