Is it possible to have predetermined line breaks for a field in a visualizer table?

Does anyone know if it is possible to have predetermined line breaks for a field in a visualizer table? For example, if I wanted to do something like the below:

Is it possible to code something into the status field in between lines that will tell Birst to create a break? The idea is that I want this to be exportable to excel, but for every line to be in one single excel row, as opposed to if I were to do a row per line with a grouping on the other columns which makes it awkward to use in excel.

It is a great idea to have something like this in the visualizer. But we know that currently can do the same by using Designer

Not that it is a help at this moment, retaining group breaks to an Excel export from Visualizer is going to be available in the October release.

I'm not referring to subgrouping like you can do in designer, I'm referring to breaking a particular field (see clarification below):

...but regardless the real goal here is to get this into excel in this format, so designer wouldn't be much help anyway. If anything, I was hoping I could reprogram the field data from "Line 1 Line 2 Line 3" to be something like "Line 1 /n Line 2 /n Line 3" with "/n" denoting a new line or something similar that Birst could interpret

Not sure why you say Designer wouldn't be much help anyway. Designer reports export well to Excel. I wonder what would happen if you tried <r> in between instead of /n since it's for the web.

I guess I meant I didn't think using designer vs visualizer would change the data output, rather just the appearance of the report, but the underlying data exported would be the same. I can explore that a bit more though. I tried out </br> and a few other things but unfortunately it doesn't look like it's possible as of now. Appreciate the idea!

Before i inform our business about this, i want to make sure i understand. We also have our TAM meeting tomorrow with John. Is this only on the excel output? If i had the following output, does this October Release allow for the output to list the product on every line that the customer is repeating?

The information as provided by our Engineering team is an enhancement to the Break By enablement whereas groups are retained when 'Data to Excel' chosen for export.

"When the user does export using this new option and there are some collapsed rows on the table; for example, Beverages has products collapsed below it, the Excel file shows Beverages collapsed but product rows below Beverages are in the file and user can expand Beverages to see all those rows. Basically all grouped categories on Birst table get translated to Expand/Collapse categories in the Excel file"

"Multi column groups are also supported. For example, column 1 could have a group on some rows but then column 2 could also have a group on additional rows. These all get exported with the appropriate expand/collapse values in the Excel file."
