Lawson 10 Windows platform - Cygwin under Windows
Legacy Contributor
Hello All,
We are migratiing our 9.0.1 Lawson from AIX servers to 10.0 LSF on Windows platform. We currently have many Unix Korn Shell scripts. Many of our scripts are envoked in Lawson mult-step jobs using sudo alias rules (e.g. sudo -u lawson /gencbf/bin/scripts/do.sh).
We are installing Cygwin for Windows to run these scripts on Windows server. Has anyone successfully simulate sudo alias rules using Cygwin under Windows? What tools or processes are good for simulating sudo alias?
Any tips in this area would be appreciative.
Tom Dewey.

You would still define your "User Scripts" and in tokendef command: ksh
$GENDIRinyourscript, is that what you are asking? (Assuming you are using 'lawson' to run these?)

I'm asking in terms of Unix security. In AIX, there is a sudo alias rule file which Unix reads to allow a non-lawon unix ID to run as lawson. Since we are under Windows and using Cygwin to simulate Unix, how do we simulate this sudo alias rule file? etc.

a follup up question is for those who are using Cygwin on Windows (Cygwin is a required installation for Lawson 10 under Windows). Do you convert your Unix scripts to something else of keep them as they are and run them under Cygwin?
