Modifying an ACTION in Configuration Console

Currently in a Manager View. When a manager clicks on 'My Staff' they see listing of those employees who are her immediate reports.  In the center is the dashboard named LRCMyStaffDashboard. In this dashboard via config console we were able to disable a manager's ability to view their employee's full profile & compensation record by commenting out specific lines of code.  HOWEVER in the left navigation pane that lists all the Manager's active staff when you double click on an employees name it takes you directly into the Full Profile view of the employee (Dates of Service, Compensation, etc). This related to a 'CardType' named EmployeeCardviewBasic.  Is there a way to disable a manager's ability to view the Full Profile?  Not sure if it is commenting out a line of code OR disabling an action. 

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

To provide some context on where i am navigating.  In screen shot #1 is the 'Manager' dashboard which displays 'My Staff'. In that screen shot the RED box high lights that when you click on a member of your staff it would go directly to the Full Profile (screen shot#2) of the employee which includes Compensation information.  I am wondering if there is a way to prevent anyone (Other than an Admin) from clicking on the Manager's staff and going to that employee's full profile.
