I just discovered that there is an email option that can be selected when an employee finishes their Open Enrollment and their Benefit Summary will be emailed to them.
After a discussion with support, I changed this value to "true": $WEBDIR/lawson/xhrnet/xml/config emss_config.xml -- Are ProcessFlow emails enabled? value=true
I now get the email option as well as the print option when completing Open Enrollment. The Lawson page indicates that the email was successfully sent to email address stored in HR11 under the WORK tab. But the email never arrives to my inbox. I've checked with our helpdesk and they don't see any emails getting stuck in the system.
So I did some more research and found a smoketest for the emss email:
red.lawson.com:7077/.../email.exe I replaced my server info as well as the TO and FROM sections. I do get a Lawson login and after entering credentials the screen just goes white and I get no email to my inbox.
I checked my install.cfg and the SMTP_SERVER_NAME is assigned the correct DNS name of our server.
The email function works correctly in regards to an address change or a direct deposit change.
We are not utilizing processflow for emails, only the default CGI email.exe program.
Has anyone else experienced this or solved this issue?
