Is there a way to turnoff pagination in Self Service or to enable all records to export when you return more than 1000 records?
On the Data Configuration dashboard you could temporarily increase the row limit. If you routinely need to export large data volumes then you should consider other options like an App Engine process creating say a text file or an app studio report that is not rendered interactively but just used in a report book export.
FYI, there is an Enhancement Request for this issue that was entered back in March. I just dropped a vote for it as we have experienced this issue as well.

Agree this is a problem but setting the page size to a large number will not work as the browser will not be able to handle it. Using Application Engine to create a CSV file is one solution. Another solution, although probably not recommended is use the Application Studio Windows client and turn of pagination.
@peter-mayall for sure using Self Service as a data dump tool is not the correct use of the tool. but the inability to export to one file if the records are > 1000 is preventative for basic use cases. Its not unheard of to have 100s if not > 1000 accounts in a large orgs COA. Throw in subaccounts and even 1 more small Finance Dimension on the row and you can see how a simple Detailed Trial Balance would exceed the limit.
I like that we have control over the pagination limit and that is sufficient. Perhaps a bit more slick would be the enhancement request that allows the user to toggle that option, however that involves educating the end users on the potential outcome of crashing the browser or in worst cases the OLAP server.
other solution would be to use Excel Integration to have data in Excel
Again, not as export tool (where proper tools should be used - OLAP Export, Export of data areas to staging, etc)
Hi John
Can the row limit be temporarily increased to more than a 1000?
Please try changing the setting below on the Self Service config dashboard. I have not tested it.
