ER - 90504 Mass Approval of work units in an inbasket

Hi!

St. Luke's Health System has enter ER 90504 with Infor and would like you to review it and if the need and proposal is relevant to your organization, can you endorse the request?

Description

St. Luke's Health System averages a large number of terminations each pay period, and we currently need to approve each work unit in our Payroll Separate Resource inbasket individually, which takes a considerable amount of time every two weeks. Usually all the work units for the pay period need to be approved.

Work Around

Currently we need to approve each work unit in our Payroll Separate Resource inbasket individually, which takes a considerable amount of time every two weeks.

Proposed Solution

A generic solution for all inbaskets would be to allow the user to select all of the work units that need to be approved and then click a Mass Approve link that will kick off the corresponding workflow to complete the remaining workflow steps for each work unit that is selected.

I'm not sure which version of Infor / GHR you're on, but in today's current version you are able to select more than 1 approval item at a time and conduct the same action on them, provided all the actions available for each of the selected items are the same. See my example below. I highlighted the available actions I can take to all 4 inbasket items I've selected.

EDIT** I should mention, this is not available for "Action Request" inbasket Display types as you do have to open each of those to display your available actions.

One other thing I can think of is you can create a Process Flow that goes through the entirety of your inbasket and performs whatever action you want. You could click one button and mass Action everything open (using whatever filters you wish) each pay period automatically.

Thanks JD. Those options are not available to me. I was hoping to see if there was enough demand in the community for Infor to create a solution before we created our own.
