GenericSendEmail - AttachmentFileList, AttachmentNameList, AttachmentDocTypeList (lists of files to

I have a form where images are uploaded and saved to a custom IDO. I want to have these images added as an attachment to the email that gets sent when the Send Email button. I am using the GenericSendEmail event to send this email. I am not sure what needs to be put in AttachmentFileList, AttachmentNameList, or AttachmentDocTypeList. Can anyone tell me what I should put in these values?

Hi J,

Can you try this one, Ive loaded the items table (assuming this is your custom) and send the pic as an attachment to my own email (hardcoded) using AES . Ive hardcoded values like Emails and Item number.

this is AES Custom event and not genericsendemail but i think it will give you an idea on what values to set.

Ive Created 3 evet actions (LoadCollection,Attach and SendEmail)

1) LoadCollection

2)Attach

3)SendEmail

Hello,

I think you can only attach the document if its saved in DocumentObjectAndRefView - maybe you can create an entry in DocumentObjectAndRefView from your custom table.

Another option, maybe you can send it on prem via BODS and Enterprise connector and send the email on prem, or you can write it to file server logical folder in cloud using custom assembly and inside the custom assembly you can use EmailFilesFromFileServerAsAttachment to attach and send it via email.

We are cloud so I don’t have direct access to database. If I added the images through Attach Documents, what values would I need to use to attach them bia GenericSendEmail? Anyone have an example of doing this they would be willing to share?

Genius! This worked like a charm. I did have to add logic so that it would recognize when only 1 or 2 images (and not all 3) were added but this did exactly what I needed. Thank you for your help!

If You have access to XtendM3 You can solve that "access" problem...
