Special Character Search in Function Search (previously IES)

We are migrating to MT Cloud, and we have the need to search for Special Character inside Lot Number (BANO) in MITLOC & MITALO.

The specific Character I am having trouble with is '|' (pipe).

I have tried multiple options including (but not limited to) the below (this is in MWS060 - MITLOC):

• BANO:*|*
• BANO:"*|*"
• BANO:*%7C*

If I use any 'normal' character it works just fine!

i.e. BANO:*5*

Our Lot numbers would look something like this:  01231354|001

Anyone have any idea how to get passed this?

I tried to spend some time trying some queries with more or less tricks to help you and find the solution.
But it was not a success
For the record, I think you'll have the same problem with the / character.
