Benefits Configuration - Waiting Period Entry Rule

We are opening up eligibility for one of our health plans by including part time employees. We created a new Part Time Custom group but are stumped when defining the Waiting Period entry rules for this Benefit Plan. Their initial enrollment date is not tied to when they entered this new group, or their Adj Start Date, Anniv Date, etc; instead it needs to be 1/1/2023. Any thoughts on how this can be done?

we had to use one of the Other Date fields to drive eligibility and enrollment as none of the date fields in the system worked for us.

You could set up an open enrollment event for this group with an effective date of 1/1/2023. Then decide what date field drives their regular enrollment - example hire date or effective date of going part time and set up that waiting/change rule.

Thank you but this plan is not part of the OE Event. It's a passive enrollment plan. We do not want to include it in the OE Event.

You could set up a separate open enrollment with passive enrollment rules.
