PR160 MHC Document Address

Can anyone tell me where or how MHC pulls the address for check documents? We've recently updated an employee's supplemental address to a foreign country. The PMTOUT file is showing the employee's supplemental address but the check document in MHC is showing the Home address.

Your best option is going to be to reach out to MHC. It's hard to say without knowing what import routine you are using. I would say a better majority of their customers use a custom import routine and not the standard they provide. I checked the import settings on our Import Routine, which is custom, and I do not see an option/setting as to which address to use during import. I also checked all the fields imported and only see the one address for the Employee. My guess is it will require a modification to your import routine to handle this which will need to be done by MHC.

Hi, another option is to check the MHC log. In our instance, our log shows the Select statement on the Vendor file. The log is on the client's Document Express folder.

I believe you can check the PR160 parameters. There is a "Payment Address" parameter where you can tell it to use Home or Supplemental. I believe that's what is what drives what you see in the PMTOUT file

Thank you DVANN2. Our parameters for PR160 are set up to use the Supplemental address and the PMTOUT file does contain the supplemental address but the MHC document is printing with the Home address.

Thanks, I will ask the BA who imported the file into MHC, if they can review the log for any additional information.

Sorry, miss read the question. I was wrong. That parameter doesn't trigger what is sent in the PMTOUT file which I believe is what MHC is using to print the checks.

Just a heads up the logging has to be turned on, meaning Debug must be set to something other than 0 for the import routine to log. It's set to zero by default and can be found under the ODBC tab of the Import Routine settings.

One other note, I believe the logging will only show additional fields that are being queried/imported in addition to the standard fields. It does not log all the fields being imported.

I have a feeling that you may be correct but I am hoping that it would be simpler than that. This is a new occurrence for us and it is for a retirement check. Currently all of our employee's and retiree's are in the US and our system settings are set up for the US. I have been attempting to update the retired employees Home and Supplemental address, but could only accomplish updating the Supplemental address. I'll have to check, but I believe all our checks are using the same import field source, changing that might be a little more difficult for us.

Different routines have different settings and levels of logging. From our experience, a value of 10 (ten) turns on all the logging that is available.

Also where you turn it on determines what/where the logging takes place. Import vs Print vs Audit vs InstaDoc.
