LPL How to identify user or user role?

On a Job Requisition we are defaulting a Template but want that Template to update based upon a user or a user role. Is there a way to identify someone (or a group of people) to have the Template value changed when they're doing data entry on a form?

You can use "actor has role" or "actor in group" in a condition to check if an actor is assigned a security role or is a member of an actor group.

Which form are you attempting to customize? Is "Template" a form field? You might have to create a derived field to derive the Template value based on the actor, and then use that derived field as the initial / default value for the form field.

For the 'actor in group' function - where is the group set up? Apparently role won't work.
