Inactivating Credentials

Hello,

We are currently working on setting up expiring credential notifications in GHR. How does your organization handle employee credentials that are no longer needed or maintained by the employee? Do you recommend that the employee delete these credentials from their record? We are wanting to avoid notifications going to employees for credentials they no longer use or maintain in the system. We have also submitted ER - 93790 for the agility to inactivate credentials. Thank you!

We set up a userfield that is visible on the Talent Profile called Not Renewing Credential. If an employee is letting a credential lapse, that field is marked Yes. We did not want to erase history by deleting credentials.

In the October 2021 CU a "Completed" field was added. Here's some information from the enhancement overview:

We added a means to show that a Qualification has ended and shouldn’t be part of any renewal or notification process.

• A “Completed” field was added to Employee Credential, Skill, and Grace Period.
• Added field to Validation Lists for additional maintenance access.
• Administrators, Generalists and Managers can maintain the field.
• Employees can view the field.
