Deduction Arrears
jasmin-campilan
I am trying to verify if the Deduction Arrears is working as intended. As an example, if an employee had gross pay of $150 and had two separate arrears amounts for $100 each, should the system be taking one of the full $100 and a partial $50 leaving the other $50 in arrears or will it only take the $100?
Basically wondering if the deduction arrears will take partials?

No, it does not adjust arrears. If it can't take the whole amount, it doesn't take anything.
During the payroll cycle, one time deductions are processed after regular deductions. If multiple one time deductions exist for the same deduction code, the regular deduction is taken first and then the one time deduction with the oldest date. All one time deductions will be taken until there is not sufficient pay to cover the deduction.

On PR05 in your deduction set up- look for the arrears field, there are four different selection you can make that would determine how the arrears worked. There is also the arrears rule which tells the system how many arreas it can take out of the next check. Good luck.
