Application Studio List Designer Filter 0 values

Hi all,

I want to create a Hyperblock, that shows all reporting units, that had data in the current year (user selected) and the previous year. However, I haven't found an option to select the previous year in the list designer or the option to reference a cell on the spreadsheet. Any hints?

We are using AppStudio 2022.12 on-prem.

Hello Malte,

what you should do, is this:

1. Create a report variable for the previous year

2. Where the user changes the year, add an action which calculates the previous-year variable from the selection

3. Also make sure that when the report first opens, the previous-year variable is set correctly, by adding the formula from #2 to the report action

4. Use the report variable in the data filter

Does this make sense?

Hi,

another way, I'm doing this generally, is:

Create a new scenario "Actual_PY" and write a rule that returns for this scenario the Actual of the previous year.

So in the data filter you can just query for one element of Actual or Actual_PY and this avoids using additonal report variables.

Just another idea, may be it helps.
