Hello,
On 7th December 2022, we send a announcement on Handled Confirm BOD retention policy.
if you miss the communication mailer, here is the new policy.
Summary
In April 2023 we plan to introduce a retention policy for handled Confirm BODs within Infor Intelligent Open Network (ION).
What is a handled Confirm BOD?
'Confirm BODs’ provide an error notification mechanism by which applications and ION can report integration errors. Once the business problem is fixed, you can resubmit the messages to the original recipients from ION. At that point, a ‘Confirm BOD’ is automatically marked as handled. Alternatively, administrators can also manually mark the Confirm BOD as handled when the message has been attended to or when it is no longer needed.
How does this affect your CloudSuite?
Once handled, Confirm BODs have very limited or no use, but they tend to continuously accumulate over time. Removing handled Confirm BODs is a necessary housekeeping measure that keeps the database healthy as they no longer consume your cloud storage capacity, and to help provide an optimized search performance.
This is why we are introducing the retention policy for handled Confirm BODs. They will not be removed immediately once handled but can be retained up to a maximum of 360 days in production tenants and 180 days in non-production tenants. Please note that any unhandled Confirm BODs, regardless of their age, are not affected by this change.
Can you still access those older handled Confirm BODs after they are purged?
All messages in ION including the Confirm BODs are stored in Oneview. Oneview has its own retention policy after which the messages are automatically archived. When required, you can retrieve historical messages and download a local copy via the Oneview UI.
Setting the retention period
The default value for the retention period of handled error messages is 360 days for production tenants and 180 days for non-production tenants. You can set the retention period to a value less than the default in ION Services > Error Messages
Thanks for your attention.
Regards,
Sadik
