Open PO Line Report Based on Requesting Location

Scenario: Requisitions are submitted for a requesting location. Inventory items become shipments and are picked internally. Non-stock items become POs.

Question: If I am requesting location A, how can I determine all the POs (lines) that are still open to be received for orders that have been placed for my requesting location?

Truly, we would like to be able to run a report for all requesting locations and then be able to simply filter on them, but I hope this clear enough to understand the ask. Thank you to anyone who can help point us in the right direction within FSM!

Hi Ryan - We do this with the Search PO Lines list under All Requisitions. It shows all lines from requesting locations or a single location if you wanted. Ours is highly configured to show PO information, requester info, item info, quantity delivered, etc. We also changed the search form. There's lots you can do there to add filters like item type, dates, etc. I've attached what we have for reference. Hopefully, this is what you were looking for.

Thank you, @patrick-webley ! The Search PO Lines under All Requisitions is exactly where I went first to try and solve this; however, I found the base functionality to be limiting (e.g., no way to filter for only items not received/delivered; ignore closed lines; etc.). I really appreciate the extra input here, though, as perhaps with some customization from our IT department we would be able to filter as desired.

Hey Ryan - Another option in addition to what Stace recommends is using the "Create Report" function.

I am not a fan of the search form so I build most of my reports directly into a list view. This gives you more flexibility to utilize business classes for filtering/searching without actually changing the report itself. All infor users can then view this report too if you make it public by using their "MyReports" function.

Another method that may help provide information is under Manage Purchase Orders; under your header options use the drop down and select Line Search. This will provide a variety of filters, ex. Line Status, Received not Invoiced, open to receive, or with Canceled Quantity or Amount. These fields will give you more options for the PO Line information.

Do you have step by step instructions on how to create a list report? I have tried Create Report and the search form fields seemed to have carried over, I am sure it is operator error I primarily work in the Financial Viewer role. Thank you

and create the report there from the primary list.

Thanks, Linda! Yes, I like all the search options within Line Search; however, there is no Requesting Location available there -- I presume due to the possible one-to-many relationship. The Lines By Origin tab does include Requesting Location; however, it does not have any default "open to receive" type of search (e.g., Quantity != Delivered Quantity, considering cancelled lines, etc.). It would seem some customization will be needed for the type of report we are seeking.
