Accessing m3usercontext in homepage widget

Hello

Can anyone help me with how I can access m3usercontext in a homepage widget? Specifically logged in user and current company.

Something similar to how I can do this in an H5 application:

The only documented method I can find for getting UserID in homepage widget is the widgetContext.getUserId() method, which only gives me the IFS User GUID, and not the m3 User:

The Homepages application does not have the M3 Context. But you can use replacement variables within {} to have M3 resolve them for you.

Eg {USID}

FACI, CurrentDivision, LANC, TIZO, CurrentCompany, TFNO, CSYS, CHN2, DIVI, DCFM, DEPT, PHNO, FRF7, FRF6, USID, FRF8, CurrentDivisionName, LADT, TX40, CurrentLanguage, Roles, EUID, FADT, CUNO, USTA, NAME, CurrentCompanyName, CONO, EMAL, CONM, ULTP, DTFM, EQAL, MNVR, CHNO, WHLO, DFMN, USTP, Theme, Tenant

Please note that correct URL encoding of parameters still applies.

The link cannot start with mforms:// since that is internal to M3.

But wait a minute.... this is not a Homepages widget. This is a widget as a stand alone application with the Oding framework. It's possible mforms:// links works with H5 SDK. Oh you had it as something to compare with.

Try with the replacement variables. but encode them. Since it's H5 that resolves them you should be fine.

Here is my example but it's supposed to be used in a Homepage menu widget and not coding in an H5 SDK (odin) application. If you are developing in a Homepages widget then you should something like this below, just a drillback to M3. The lid must match the current lid so you need to get the current M3 application from getApplications API in IWidgetContext. Then on the same IWidgetContext you use the launch method. But the replacement variables has to be encoded correctly. You should be able to test the URL in a menu widget until it works.

I am developing with the widget SDK, the image above was just an example from an app with the H5 SDK that i've developed earlier, and if it was possible to access usercontext in a similar way with the widget SDK. This is what the drillback looks like in the widget I am developing after your tip:

I also want to use USID from mns150 as input to the API i'm fetching data from. The widget lists customers that are close to having spent all their available credit. Currently it lists all customers that meet the conditions, and the user can search for either CUNO or RESP to find what they are looking for. I would like to use USID from mns150 as input for RESP in the custom api that we have made, so that the output is already filtered on customers that the logged in user is responsible for. Do you know how I can achieve this if I can't access usercontext?

I guess you can use ION api to get details of the current logged in user using end point 'm3api-rest/v2/execute/MNS150MI/GetUserInfo'.

Calling MNS150MI/GetUserInfo is how you get your own USID as suggested by Syam. If my previous answer helped you as a correct answer, then please see if you can marked it as answered. It's still in "Suggested Answer" status. If you can find how to do that. Trying to improve my ranking :-)

Yes, thank you to you both! For some reason I had assumed that MNS150MI/GetUserInfo required USID as a mandatory input, but apparently it fetches the data for the logged in user with no input specified, so it works perfectly

Enclose the macro in <> instead of {}. You are using a search query and this expects macros to be enclosed in <>.
