We have instituted a shared leave bank, where employees contribute a certain amount of their sick hours to this bank and anyone who has contributed to this plan, can use the hours with a limit on usage.
Example:
Employees 1, 2 and 3 participate in the plan. They each donate 8 hours to the Shared leave plan which we would do a lp70 transfer to the shared leave plan. Given 24 hours in that plan. Employee 2 then goes out on leave and needs to use 10 hours from the shared leave bank. So they would use the appropriate pay code and it would deduct hours from the shared leave plan.
Does anyone have anything similar setup and thoughts on the setup in Lawson?
We did a benefit plan so employees could select during open enrollment to participate. We have a custom group of these people. We have HR that will review who can take the leave and we have new pay codes to track these hours. Just need to figure out how to have a leave bucket in Lawson for the donation hours to sit.
