Getting Product from Item Number

Hello all

I am trying to obtain the product (PRNO) using its Item Number (ITNO).

Is there a standard API available for this or it's compulsory to create a custom one?

Question is a bit confusing, since ITNO is the same as PRNO as such. PRNO is used for Manufactured Items, but it equates to ITNO in the Item Master.
