Adding new tables & programs after CTP install
deanna-plant
We are fairly new to LSF Security and just installed a CTP that added new tables and programs. I was expecting to see these new tables/programs under the appropriate system code (BN) in Lawson Security Administrator and then grant the appropraite access to the various securtiy classes. I am not seeing the newly created tables and programs. Thinking there's an additional step we need to do to get LSF Security to recognize these new members. Can anyone provide assistance late on a Friday afternoon? Thank you!

You'll need to at least wait for your Caching_Interval to trigger the sync between the server and the LSA program.
Have you waited a while? Check by launching LSA, go to Server Management, click on Server, make sure you are on the Configuration tab, and check the caching_interval setting.

Did you actually activate the CTP, or just update your system? You'll need to go through the activate stage before you'll see anything in LSA.

We did do an activate on the CTP. I can see the tables and programs in Laua security. Caching_interval setting = 30. We installed the CTP yesterday morning so it's been over 24 hours since activated.

From LID, check pgmdef. Check your programs.. F6 | A | check that they have something in the 'In Production On' field other than 'None'
Make sure that you are looking under the correct system code, also. Some HR stuff is actually PA, LP, etc.
You can check by rngdbdump gen filedef | lashow
Search for your new tables, and check the 4th field.

Have you done an IOSCacheRefresh ?
deanna-plant
We have done the IOCacheRefresh and restarted server. Programs have NT "In Production On' field and are showing up under the BN system code where expected. All great troubleshooting suggestions! Still perplexed...

This has gotten us a few times, but may not be your issue. Was this in your test environment, and if so, do you have multiple product lines? If so, you have to install the CTP to the product line your Security Profile is attached to in order to see the new programs.

That's it! We have both of our test productlines assigned to the same Profile. One p/l has not been patched with the new tables/programs. So do you have separate profiles set up for your multiple product lines?
deanna-plant
I have detached the "unpatched" productline (the p/l that doesn't have the new tables and programs) from the Profile but still not seeing the tables and programs for the patched productline. Is there a command that needs to be run to sync the apps tables/pgms with security? We are trying to get the security in place for the new Affordable Care Act tables & programs.

Hello all. I put in the ACA update #2, JT-842573. It's in, activated, etc. I can see the form name change to BN00.6. Using laua, I can see the BN29.2, also see in pgmdef, etc. However, I can't see the BN29.2 in security. We do have a specific profile for this data area.
Just wondering if anyone else has the same issue. May need to file an Incident.
thanks.

I was unable to see BN29.2 & BN29.3. I rebooted the server and was then able to see them. Clearing cache alone didn't seem to do the trick.

Deanna,
Thanks a lot. Actually I was able to stop app server (websphere) and restart Lawson service, that was enough for us (which I shouldn't tried anyway...:>)).
