How to use Spreadsheet Designer to query Action from Audit Log?

Hello,

Is there a way to use Spreadsheet Designer (or another tool) to query records that had a certain action performed on them, as shown in the Audit Log? For example, we would like to query all job requisitions where the ManualApproveApprovalRequested action was performed (and also query the actor who performed it). Is there a way to do this?

We can't directly query the audit log entries using the ISD. Also, check if the "AuditLogEntry" business class in the "la" module is configured, which captures the transactions done by the users only.

Another way is... we can use Replication sets to replicate the "Audit log entries" for a business class to the Infor Data Lake and run SQL on the Data Lake to get the required data. This requires SQL knowledge.

If you create a report in GHR from the Configuration Console space, you can setup a report off one of the JobRequistion lists, set it as Audit instead of live, then in the filter, enter:

action = "ManualApproveApprovalRequested"

In the Edit LPL, you can add the actor and/or authenticated actor fields there. That should get you what you are looking for,

Another option is to export the JobRequsition BusinessClass, which inludes the audit log blob per row (xml-like format), from use notepad++ to search for "ManualApproveApprovalRequested".

For this use-case and general area I plan to create some documentation or KB articles about in the first half of 2023.

Thank you, Robert - this is exactly what I need! I would also like to add the timestamp that the action was performed, but when I add "timestamp" to the LPL, it gives me a red squiggly line and says Invalid Field. Do you know how I could add the time stamp?

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried this, and when I search in Notepad++, it shows me the timestamps and actors who performed the action, but the req # doesn't appear to be listed in the search results.

Any future documentation would be welcome!

Sorry, didn't see this followup question until now. Since the timestamp is related to the entry of the audit log, adding "entry stamp" to the LPL should get you what you need. If you still need this, here is one of our reports to show future employee actions:
