Working offline with Infor d/EPM Budgeting & Planning v2023.x

Hi there

My customer has enquired about capturing their budgeting while being offline. Reason being, some of their branches are in remote areas with little or no connectivity. Is it possible to capture their Budget using Excel integration, and once online they would be able to save these changes to the database? I know that the one option is for them to capture the budget in excel, and copy and paste once they have a connection to the database, but ideally they are trying to move away from multiple excel templates and have only one version of the truth.

Could you please advise.

This is the nirvana which we all crave. There are a number of ways of achieving this in a quasi state,

The easiest options exist where there is some connectivity and with V12 MT Cloud.   

1. Build a spreadsheet template with only the fields you want to use as data entry available.

2. Add Infor.write (DBSET in V11) formulae to the templates and when connection to the cloud is available, the users can use the window to upload the current state of the data into the OLAP Database.

3. Where no connectivity exists, but assuming there is some way of sending an email. The templates can be emailed to a central location where they can be managed for uplaod.

4. If there is absolutely no connectivity, not sure what you do to achieve your goal.
