Infor M3 - Quotation/Budgeting Process

I'm here today asking the support to the best of this community's knowledge.

I represent a plastic injection plant that is now using Infor for over a year, and we are still exploring the potential of Infor OS. Our M3 ERP is the latest CloudBase version, and we are currently using it to manage products, shop floor, warehouse and so on...

We are studying a way to elaborate our quotation/budgeting process directly on M3 based on the product costs and some other factors such as quantities and rates that are crucial for business.

Therefore, I ask if the community could share insights, KB articles, documentation or even share processes on elaborating Quotes using Infor solutions.
What is there to know about this particular process?

Do you mean quotation "cost calculation" for customer order? in one site we use the product configurator and that is calculating the cost of the items. in other sites we do it in excel with "template items" due to the complexity of the products.

For the Budget if you are talking about order forecast there is a possibility to calculate forecast in M3 based on utilization or item statistics.

If you talk about financial budget there is the BUS set of programs where you can add your financial budget.

i am not able to arrive to the documentation you indicate since it goes to the generic infor document center.

Nice to read from you!

When I say preparing a Quotation, I'm reffering to a method of calculating the sales price of a part by find out the real costs of manufacturing and adding a margin to the calculation.

Our goal with this is to centralize the proccess by using the same tools (M3) and avoid using excel.
