UTC to EST datetime conversion

Hi,

The datetime coming from datalake tables is in UTC time zone and i want to convert this datetime to EST and show it in a report.

Also, we need to consider daylight saving while converting it.

Do we have any functions in staging to convert time zone?

Hi Shivanand,

To convert to the local time, add the hours given by the CLIENTTIMESHIFT() Application Studio function i.e. add CLIENTTIMESHIFT()/24 to the datetime on the report.

This means it doesn't matter where the client is, it should always display the correct local time.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the reply. My requirement is users should always see EST time zone irrespective of the time zone they are in.

Because i am in EST timezone and i can see in EST time but customer is in Pacific Time zone and she is seeing a different time(her local time) on the report after i added your logic.
