Connection point and Authorized App Types

I use LN CE. 3rd party web application to be integrated is also hosted on cloud. Few questions. 

1) To publish Sync BODs as JSON Files, my 'Data flow' need to call the API endpoint of 3rd party application. Which type of connection point need created? Image of List attached.
2) The 3rd party application will call LN BDE. So, there will be no Data Flow as I dont have to transform. What would be the 'Type' of Authorized App? Backend or Web?
3) Is it necessary to register 3rd party API suite under 'Available APIs' or it is just possible to call needed endpoint URLs they provide to publish Sync JSON files?

Hi Senthil - hopefully someone more knowledgeable can give a better answer, this may help but may not be best practices - note we use M3. 

1) We registered the third party application's API suite in IONAPI. We then use an "API" connection point to call the API from ION. 

2) We use Backend Service for this use case, where a third party application directly calls Infor API's

3) Pretty sure you need to register it or you cannot use it in ION.
