Did you know the procedure for creating a landing page widget in the Knowledgebase Content Management (KCM) system?
Use the Knowledgebase Content Management (KCM) system—formerly known as the Client Content Toolset (CCT)—to add content pages (and other documents) to your Knowledgebase (KB) site. The KCM is labeled “Document Manager.”

About Widgets
A widget is a box-shaped user interface component that appears in one of the three columns on the Knowledgebase site’s Home page.

About Landing Page Widgets
A landing page widget is an option on a main (landing) page. The landing page widget’s title links to its corresponding main page.
Landing page widgets can display the following optional elements:
- An image (470 x 100 pixels);
- Title (non-formattable);
- Introductory text (formattable);
- A link list;
- Link list header text (non-formattable);
- Link list introductory text (non-formattable); and
- Links to documents on the KB site.

About Meta Tags
Each main (landing) page has a preconfigured Subject meta tag.
In order for a link to a document on the KB site to appear on a main page’s widget, the Widget meta tag must be added to the document.
The Widget meta tag corresponds with the main page’s Subject meta tag.
For example:
- The Pay main page’s Subject meta tag is pay (Subject = pay)
- The Widget = pay meta tag is added to the Direct Deposit document.
- A link to the Direct Deposit document appears on the Pay landing page widget.

The Landing Page Planner (LPP)
The LPP is the multi-tabbed Excel Spreadsheet which was provided to your organization previously.
Each main page tab in the LPP includes:
- Subject meta tag: corresponds with the main page’s Article in the KCM
- Section meta tags: for placing links to documents under the desired header on a main page
- Widget meta tags: for placing links to documents on the main page’s corresponding widget on the Home page

Keep a copy of the LPP spreadsheet handy. Contact your HRSD CSM for a copy as needed.
Alternately, refer to the screenshot of the standard LPP’s CCT Guide page below.

Creating a Landing Page Widget via the KCM
The content landing page widget creation process entails the following steps:
- Check out the main page that corresponds with the desired landing page widget.
- Apply the widget options to the main page.
- Add an image to the landing page widget (optional).
- Pin the landing page widget to the Home page (optional).
- Publish the main page.
- Check in the main page.
To add text to the landing page widget, consult your HRSD Customer Success Manager.
Who Can Use the KCM?
There are two types of access (user roles) in the KCM: Producer and Reviewer.
- Producers can configure main (landing) pages and their corresponding landing page widgets via the KCM. However, they cannot edit their text.
- Reviewers can view main pages and their corresponding landing page widgets via the KCM but cannot modify them except in workflows.

CCT Guide
This document contains a screenshot of the CCT Guide tab from the standard Landing Page Planner (LPP) spreadsheet that is provided to Knowledgebase (KB) customers.
The CCT Guide assists users with selecting meta tags to add links to documents on the KB site to landing page widgets (and more). It contains meta tag information for each standard main (landing) page on your KB site.
The Subject meta tag corresponds with the Section and Widget meta tags.
For example, on the Employee Policies main page, when the Subject = eepolicy:
- Section = eepolicy_1 places a link to the document under Section 1’s header.
- Widget = eepolicy places a link to the document on the Employee Policies widget.
