just tired - it seems that it´s possible to add the add-in into Excel Web - but I received an error on loading... I also haven´t found anything in documentation that it´s not supported (there have been a couple lines in earlier versions - so it´s may woth a support ticket ;-)

you might have to add the relevant MS-locations to your Security Settings in the Farm-Admin-Config:

it should work, however, it needs also some manual checks, because it is possible that in your region some other URL must be whitelisted. Can you please create new support incident?
