Quick question Is there a way in BIRST where a column in the report is an input box and then you will use the value to pass into a parameter to be in a calculation?

Not that I know of within a report, but you can create a filter that is essentially an input box on a dashboard, and then use GetPromptValue in your report expressions to reference it if that works for your case
