client install files

Has anyone installed the client files on a network drive. In my company we have a high turn of computers with everyone switching job positions and new people getting jobs requireing them to have computers etc etc. I was just wondering if anyone has ever installed the client files on a network drive such as the users personal folder on the server so as to keep their ini files with out having to copy them back and forth to different computers all the time and what problems may this cause.
