Did you know the procedure for adding images to widgets in the Knowledgebase Content Management (KCM) system?
Regularly updating the existing widgets’ images keeps your Knowledgebase Home page fresh to the eye and engaging to the user.
Either create new images for your organization in-house or select one from the large pool of widget images that we provide to customers.
The process is simple as KCM users are merely modifying one aspect of a widget that already exists on the KB site. There is no need to create new widgets from scratch to refresh the look and feel of the entire Home page.
Creating Widget Images
Custom images with your organization’s colors, logos, and images can reflect a common theme and design for all widgets.
Alternately, a widget with crucial or time-sensitive information and links can include an image in an eye-catching, contrasting color with text such as “Alerts” or “Announcement.” Such a widget can be pinned to the top row of widgets on the Home page to ensure that it appears to all employees.
Widget images must be 470 x 100 pixels and in .jpg or .png format.

Default Image Pool
We offer a pool of 40 widget images which can be applied to any custom or landing page widget.
Review the list in V11 KCM: Adding Images to Widgets.
About Widgets
A widget is a box-shaped user interface component that appears in one of the three columns on the Knowledgebase site’s Home page.

KCM users can easily add and modify images on the two most commonly used types of widgets:
- Landing page widgets
- Custom Widgets
About Landing Page Widgets
A landing page widget is an option on a main (landing) page. The landing page widget’s title links to its corresponding landing (main) page.
For example, the Health & Wellness landing page widget’s name “Health & Wellness” is hyperlinked and points to the Health & Wellness main page.

About Custom Widgets
The only difference between a landing page widget and a custom widget is that a landing page widget’s title is hyperlinked to its associated main (landing) page. A custom widget’s title is not hyperlinked. Custom widgets are stand-alone and are never associated with any page.
For example, the custom Labor Law Posters widget’s name “Labor Law Posters” is not hyperlinked to point to any page.

Adding Widget Images
Use the Knowledgebase Content Management (KCM) system—formerly known as the Client Content Toolset (CCT)—to upload and add images to landing page widgets and custom widgets.
Use the procedure in V11 KCM: Adding Images to Widgets.
Who Can Use the KCM?
There are two types of access (user roles) in the KCM: Producer and Reviewer.
- Producers can add images to widgets.
- Reviewers can view widgets via the KCM but cannot modify them except in workflows.
