Can supply model suggest different DO type based on CO type?

Hi,

We are using supply chain orders to connect a CO to an MO to a DO. Sometimes we use a CO type that requires complete shipment (joint delivery code applied per line). Due to storage limitations at the receiving warehouse we don't want the supplying warehouse to ship the DO unless the total quantity is available. So basically what we would need is to apply a joint delivery code on the DO. I am wondering if there's a way to set up a supply model that would choose a different DO type based on the CO type? The problem is that there is an MO in between that is always the same MO type regardless if the customer order requires complete shipment or not.

Another option I was considering was to run an API to update the joint delivery code on the DO through an external software that we use. But I could not find any APIs for that.

Based on my understanding of the above:

I think you would be better off creating a BOD to handle the logic to check for availability in your external Warehouses, nd depending on where available inventory is found, have the BOD create the DO to supply the MO (this would allow you to control the Order Type as well).

The BOD would be initiated through an Event Trigger based on the creation of the MO.
