Did you know about the procedure for adding a KCM user account?
KCM users can utilize the Knowledgebase Content Management (KCM) system—formerly known as the Client Content Toolset (CCT)—to add and modify specific types of documents on your Knowledgebase (KB) site.
Customers' ability to update Knowledgebase documents is especially useful during Open Enrollment.
Knowledgebase Administrators can add KCM user accounts for employees who modify Knowledgebase documents via the KCM.
Procedure:
V11 KCM: Adding a KCM User
Where is the KCM?
The KCM exists only in the stage environment of customers’ Knowledgebase (KB) sites.
The Document Manager
On customers’ KB sites in stage, the KCM’s link and tool are labeled “Document Manager.”

Who can use the KCM?
There are two types of access (user roles) in the KCM: Producer and Reviewer.
- Producers can create, edit, configure, and publish specific types of documents via the KCM.
- Reviewers can view documents via the KCM before they are published to the stage and/or live KB sites, but they cannot modify them except in workflows.
What can KCM users create and modify via the KCM?
Producers can create the following document types:
- Content pages (single- and multi-topic)
- Integrations (URLs, non-SSO)
- Uploads (.pdfs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint files, etc.)
- Widgets (landing page widget & custom widgets)
Producers can configure the following document types:
- Benefit plans
- Content pages (single- and multi-topic)
- Integrations
- Main (landing) pages (including the Home page)
- Widgets (landing page widget & custom widgets)
- Uploads (.pdfs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint files, etc.)
Producers can edit the following document type:
- Content pages (single- and multi-topic)
Workflows
Producers can also create workflows via the KCM to organize and schedule updates to the existing documents on the Knowledgebase site.
Workflows entail modifying, reviewing, and approving documents before they are published—step by step.
A workflow defines:
- The sequence of steps for modifying, reviewing, and approving a document;
- The scheduling (due dates) for these steps; and
- The KCM users who perform these steps.
