Open Enrollment - Pending - Closing Steps
connie-heitman
This will be our 2nd year using Lawson ESS for our annual Open Enrollment. Last year we used Immediate for elections and that caused some issues. This year we are going use Pending for elections. Does anyone have a Open Enrollment process listing or checklist that they could share with me? From what I can find I am to run a BS531 and BN531 process to move the elections from the BS31 screen to the BN32.2 screen. Next I should run the BN532 process to move the Dependent elections. Is there anything else that I should do and in what order? It appears that I do not need to run a BN105 since transactions are going to a pending status. Any direction on how to complete the Open Enrollment process and Year End would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Any one can update what IE version you are using for EMSS? We are having issues with existing HSA contributors change their plans.
Thanks

We still run our BN105 after the BN531 and BN532.

Are you not showing the new premiums for the new plan year?

Yes, we are. Do you update yours prior to OE?

How do you update your premiums without running BN105? Doesn't PR140/PR80 edit you that you have to run BN105?

We have a soft open enrollment, so we roll all benefits into the new year using BN105 prior to open enrollment. This creates new health/vision/dental records for the new year with the new rates. Then after oe we extract using BS531 and load in using BN531 and BN532. If an employee uses ess for open enrollment, it clears out the "new" record created by the BN105 to make room for the new record through BN531.
