Did you know that you can enable Knowledgebase documents' visibility on users' mobile devices via the KCM?
KCM users with the Producer role can enable mobile access for the following document types:
- Benefit plans
- Content documents
- Integrations (non-Single Sign-on (SSO))
- Landing (main) pages
- Uploads based on .pdf files
About the Mobile Solution
The Mobile Solution is a browser-based tool for mobile devices that support HTML 5 (e.g., Android, iOS, tablet, etc.). It is intended to be used in the mobile device's browser.
The Mobile Solution is for HRSD sites with:
- Knowledgebase only
- Case Management only
- Both Knowledgebase and Case Management
It allows users to:
- Access Knowledgebase documents
- Create a case through Case Management Ask HR
The Share Access Widget
If the Mobile Solution has been enabled on your organization’s HRSD site, Knowledgebase (KB) and Case Management (CM) users can set up mobile access on their mobile devices by using the Share Access widget on the Home page.
The widget’s name, image, and introductory text can vary as per customer preference.

Covered spouses, domestic partners, and adult children can locate benefits information themselves just as easily as employees.
Who Can Use the KCM?
There are two types of access (user roles) in the KCM: Producer and Reviewer.
- Producers can create and modify documents via the KCM.
- Reviewers can view documents via the KCM but cannot modify them except in workflows.
Adding Mobile Access to KB Documents
To render a Knowledgebase document visible and accessible on a mobile device, mobile access must be applied to it. This process is also called “flagging.”
When creating and modifying documents in the Knowledgebase Content Management system (KCM), to enable mobile access, tick each document’s Mobile Access check box and publish the document.
For instructions, use the procedure below.
