Employee SyncPersonnel BOD

we currently use this BOD to send changes based off employee export. I'm fairly new to BODs and was curious if anyone knew how to create new BODs or if that was something possible? Based on the documentation I've read so far it seems BODs are all within the System already and activated/created based on functionality within the system and not something you can create or even duplicate from a BOD already on the system.

I'm looking for a BOD that would create a file based on the same format that uses the standard Sync.Personnel template. I've opened an incident with Infor today but wanted to post here as well.

The ability to create new BOD schemas and extend existing user area in OAGIS schemas is in the Data Catalog I also suggest reviewing these two sections in Developer Guide for Message and Verbs/Patterns

Your requirement is not too clear in the context of "..BOD that would create a file based on the same format that uses the standard Sync.Personnel template.."

The reference to file, are you wanting to convert the XML file to a flat DSV file? or something else?

Do you want ... HCM Employee --> Sync.Personnel --> XML to DSV --> to in house file store?l

overall, our IT dept receives a 'change' file daily from the Employee Sync Personnel BOD. We are looking to have a file created with the same formatting just showing ALL active team members and now just changes based on the Employee Export business class.

Another question would be , what do other IT departments use from Infor to help keep users in sync? Does your company have Infor send the IT department an 'all active team member' file every so often to keep accounts in sync with other areas outside Infor?

Hi Noe. There is a lot to that response, let me try to tackle it.

Is the personnel BOD coming from Infor HCM or something else? What does it represent? I assume actions against a employee? vs actions against a user?

To capture the data in each BOD, you could take each BOD and transform it to the fields you want, then to a CSV, and write that to a file with append. Or send it to a DB connector and write the transactions that you want to a table.

If the system is Infor HCM (assumed Employee Export Business Class reference) or possibly other Infor ERP, then the data is shadowed to Data Fabric and can be queried there.

What do you mean by 'keep users in sync'. between the employee SoR (such as HCM) and the Infor Federation Services in Infor OS? or your external systems (outside Infor), primarily your Identity stores? The life cycle for a user is typically driven by HR systems, onboarded and off boarded through IFS and identity stores, as well as any other. This can be with BODs, and most of Infor is integrated.

If your identity store has a compliance / governance component, it is usually via that to do birthright and subsequent entitlements. These are common supported through SCIM as a industry standard.

Infor also have Governance, Risk and Compliance package that can provide all of this automation with controls included.

So there are lots of paths and considerations depending on your organizations processes and software.
