We are trying to get hires into Lawson quicker and interested hearing what others are doing for those that fail their drug test and/or do not show up for employment.
Drug test fails - Our HR team currently holds on inputting hires in Lawson until after their health assessment results comes back. This often does not leave much time between getting the results of the Health Assessment and getting them input into Lawson for new employee orientation and getting them set up with the appropriate roles in Active Directory. If they enter the new hire into Lawson prior to drug test results received, they show up on turnover (which we don't want) and also sometimes have already flowed to other applications through feeds.
No shows - HR deletes the new hire out of Lawson & is instructed not to re-use the employee id for another new hire. This causes issues for downstream applications and risks the potential for re-using employee id when they forget.
How do others handle new hires that have failed their drug test or are a no show for employment?
