Who is looking for a better way to inactivate combinations in structure relations while still keeping an audit log of dates changed?
The current recommendation is to delete the combination in structure relations which is quick and easy but you lose the audit log because it is now gone. If questions arise, we don't have the ability to go back and see changes in status.
If you don't like that option, you can create a structure exception. Sounds easy, right? In there, you have to create a record for every combination of dimension/account to keep the audit trail. This could be 500+ records for each department.
We are asking for an enhancement to simplify the changes while keeping the audit trail using either of the following:
1. Allow the Active flag to be changed on the structure relation record which is currently not updateable
2. Allow blanks on the structure exception record so you can put in key dimensions and inactivate all accounts if blank.
