How to use the Public Interface Bod.Publish

Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

We are attempting to publish a sales order bod using the Public Interface Bod.Publish()

We pass in the following parameters:

iNoun is "Sync.SalesOrder"

iRootTable is "tdsls400"

iActionCode is "Replace"

iEntityType is 2

iEntityCode is tdsls400.cofc

iDocumentID is tdsls400.orno

iProcessingAction is "OnlyPublish"

oExceptionMessage returns with 'Input argument "identifier" must be filled in'

Response = -12

We have no guidance as to what is missing. Is there a written example anywhere? Please can you help us find out what is missing?

Guide says this in the Usage of BOD.Publish:

Variable arguments are Identifiers
- The first Identifier is Mandatory

I assume you need the sales order number there as well.

Moreover I think you need to specify "SalesOrderBOD" in the noun.

Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work changing it to SalesOrderBOD. We didn't find a place other than DocumentID to send the sales order number. We had the same error code and response message, it is definitely after something that isn't specified as to what it means.

You need to pass the sales order number as 10th argument. On the place of the ... in the signature:

ref long oExceptionID,
... )

Hi Jaap,

I've also been working on this with Dom.

Thanks for your help the BOD.Publish function no longer errors.

Only issue now is we can't see the actual BOD come out after this function is ran.

Could it be that there is another process to be done after this function to "commit" the BOD or something similar?
