Greetings!  I am looking to obtain the last date/time a field has changed.

<BusinessClass>.<FieldName> date last changed -- returns the last effective date where the field changed

update stamp - returns the last date the record (not field) changed

Is there any method to return the last date/time where the record changed.  Many of our transactions are dated to match the beginning of a pay period and therefore often do not match the actual date they were entered.  Is there a method to obtain the actual date/time of when the field was changed?

Hi Chad,

I think you could try out adding a new AuditList or using the Create Report and basing it on Audit (vs. transactional) data to get what you want?  I'm assuming you want a report/listing vs. a field?

A net new UserList could look like:

AuditLogList is an AuditList

        Display Fields

            HROrganization

                label is "Organization"

            Employee

                label is "EmploymentID"

            audit period

            entry stamp

                label is "ChangeTime"

            effective date

                sort order is effective date

                    is default descending

            action

            reason code

            action comment

            actor

            authenticated actor

Note all the fun keywords there.  You are talking "entry stamp" vs. "effective date".

You would likely want an Instance Selection that looks something like "where (old PayRate != PayRate).  This would only find audit recs where payrate had changed vs. just getting all of them.

Like I say, "Create Report" can do all of this too without needing the UserList and config console side.
