DOP NO - Declaration of Performance

I have a customer /M3 Manufacturing that needs to add new information to the item/product structure: 'DOP NO - Declaration of Performance’

Do you have a recommendation where to add this information in M3? Must I add a new CUGEX to store this information?

Hello Erik,

You should add an custom field, created in CMS080. and this field can be added in PDS001/E.

Step 1: Define the new field in CMS080.

Define the field properties.

Step 2: Add the field M3 panel.

Go to the desired M3 panel, then select Tools -> Personalize -> Custom Fields.

Available custom fields will be displayed.

That’s all you need to do. Now field is available to be used.

Since this is really on the 'Product Level' and not the BoM, have you looked into using the 'Danger Classes' on the Item Master record instead (i.e. a code for 'Fire Resistant' that would be assigned the Item - you could have as many as you want, but only first 3 will show in MMS001/I)?

Also, you have several fields on the Item Master, if not already used, that could potentially be utilized for this purpose if this is not an option.
