How to add a condition on the effective date of a termination?

Hi, I am looking for some assistance with some simple LPL.

If a manager enters a termination date over 30 days old, I'd like to prompt the user with some verbiage, but allow the termination to save.

So, using Config Console, how can I add a condition to the the Effective date entered on a termination, if this effective date is older than 30 days?

You can use "confirmation required" to display a message to the user.  This will display a message to the user they must accept to process the transaction.  You can do this by configuring the Terminate action and adding a Parameter Rule. 

The Parameter Rule must be written on a particular field.  Because effective date is a special type of field you must specify a different field that is defined as a parameter on the action.  In this case I chose TerminationDate.  It doesn't matter because the message will display as a pop up and not in line with the field.  Below is an example of the syntax:

    TerminationDate
        if (Employee_effective_date < (system current date - 30 days))
            confirmation required
                "Warning!EffectiveDateIsMoreThan30DaysInThePast;ContinueYes?"
