Best practices or the maximum database connections for the EC connector?

Hi All,

We have an EC connector installed on a server, 96 database connection points are using that EC connector. The EC connector keeps moving to the Error state because the heap space is completely consumed. we have increased the heap space from 512 MB to 1024 MB, the same issue still exists.

Is there any Infor documentation on best practices or the maximum database connections for the EC connector?

Can you outline what types of connections these 96 are? 

• Are they Stored procedures handling XML messages?
• are they Data Pulls via Data loader for data lake?
• are they data pulls via Any SQL 
• What is the size and frequency of the data patterns?
• Are there many request concurrently requested?

If there is a lot of data and high concurrency, have you tried a second EC insall on the same or different server?

Is there a couple that cause the issue , can they be offset or segregated by time or server?

other considerations on your configuration;

• How busy is the server / capacity for workload, can it handle the load efficiently 
• How close is it to the database on the network/ proximity is important
• Are the latest drivers being used

After changing the heap space, did you restart the node?
