Cube Dimension Access

Hi - 

We are bringing online Employee Relations. There is a delivered embedded report that we would like to modify the available dimensions for. From what I've read in the documentation we should be able to modify the cube dimensions for the report, but I can't seem to determine where that happens or what the specific role I need to assign myself to be able to do that is. I have the Admin_ST and SecurityAdministrator_ST role so I'm surprised I'd need anything else.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

To add dimensions, you will need to use Configuration Console => Configure Cube and add the dimension to the business class - example:

          Discipline is a BusinessClass

              Dimensions

                  Manager

Then you need to run the action "Deploy Pending Configurations" in Administration Console => Configuration and Personalization => Configuration.  This action will deploy the changes and update the cube.  

The cube will have the field "Deployed Configuration Exists" set to Yes after the action is complete and you should then be able to use the dimension in the dimension picker on your cube view list.

Note: Not every field can be added as a dimension - it must be a keyfield, a boolean or a field with state values.
