Background
We ran into an issue where the contents of one of our special custom packs come in two separate shipments. One shipment contains refrigerated materials, and the other contains the ambient items. We order these packs as one infor item, but the two components that make up the item/pack are shipped separately. I opened an Infor ticket to see if any current functionality could help us with this scenario. Infor was not able to identify anything that could help us.
Problem
Our receiving team received in the first item that arrives on the PO. When the remainder of the components arrive, they contact the buyer to advise that there is no additional quantity to receive on.
Workaround
Our buyer then adds a secondary no-charge line for receiving to enter the second shipment.
Question:
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions on what you are currently doing? We are trying to reduce the extra communication and update on the PO for items like these.
