Interface Supply Cost to Epic

Hello - Currently, we send items to Epic via Clinical Bridge, but we don't include supply cost. How are others doing this? Is there a specific interface we can enable in Clinical Bridge to begin this process? What cost field are you sending? Contract cost? Last received? Last issued? Average? Thank you.

Hey Stace, we are using clinical bridge to send cost info from Infor to Epic. In our setup, the process looks at 3 fields in order to determine what cost it should populate. Fields: DefaultUnitCostForLowestDivisibleCost, if $0.00 then use AverageCost, if $0.00 then use LastReceivedCost.

I am unsure of the technical terms of the interface, but I believe cost information is going over in the same message as the other item info (item, description, etc etc.) I can reach out to our interface team and try and find more specifics if you'd like.

Hey Stace,

For cost we utilizie the contract line, if contract line cost does not exist we use the last received cost.

We pull the "BaseCostForLowestDivisibleCost" from the contract line. When using the contract line we use a series of conditions since many of our items are on multiple contracts. This ensures we bring in the correct contract price.

Conditions:

Contract line cannot be on hold.
Contract line cannot be expired.
Use lowest cost price to interface.
- If we have two active contracts not expired or on hold, we make the assumption we are sourcing the item from the lowest cost vendor.
