0 versus NULL in Excel Integration

Hi at all,

is there a way in Infor 12 in Excel Integration to distinguish between 0 and NULL (empty cell) in Infor.Get.Value or Infor.Read.Value formulas?

And is there an option to delete cell-values using Infor.Write.Value ("normal" cubes and text cubes)?

Hello Jorn,

No with some setting or within UI. What is the scenario for you? Why do you need to differentiate them?

There is only way to use 'FORMATTED_VALUE' cell property in INFOR.READ.VALUE or INFOR.GET.VALUE formula. That way it will return '0' as string (i.e. typically left aligned) if it contains real 0 value. In case it is empty cell it will return 0 as number and so typically right aligned.

As for deleting - if you splash 0 to any aggregated cell it will automatically delete all the values below.
